46 Years Old Father allegedly defiles 17-year daughter In Ogun

The Police in Ogun State have arrested a 46- year- old man by the name Olusegun Oluwole for defiling his 17 -year- old daughter.

Operatives of the Ogun State security outfit – So – Safe – Corps, arrested the suspect who live in Amolaso area of Abeokuta, the state capital, and handed him over to the Police.

The suspect was said to have grabbed his daughter around 11:30 pm and raped her.

He allegedly threatened to kill her if she refused to allow him.

Ogun Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi made this known on Sunday in a statement.

Oyeyemi, a Superintendent of Police (SP) stated that the Divisional Police Officer, Ibara division, Bernard Egbondiya, detailed detectives to treat the case.

The police spokesperson added that the father of six confessed to the crime and pleaded for forgiveness, claiming not knowing what came over him when he made love to his daughter.

The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole ordered the transfer of the suspect to state Criminal investigation Departments for further investigation and possible prosecution, while the victim was taken to general hospital for treatment.

BREAKING: Tension in Oyo as gunmen attack police station, kill divisional officer, suspect

There is tension in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State as yet-to-be-identified gunmen on Tuesday night attacked Igangan Police Station, killing the Divisional Crime Officer (DCO) and a suspect who was detained in the station.

A top police source in the station confirmed the incident, saying that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), an Inspector and some suspects were seriously injured with gunshots during the attack.

Also confirming the incident, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adewale Osifeso, said that “The Commissioner of Police is on his way to the place. We are already in Oke Ogun as we speak. I will get back to you when we get there.”

It will be recalled that Igangan is where the Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Igboho, evicted the Fulani leader, Alhaji Saliu Abdulkadir and his people.

Igboho, who is one of the protagonists in the whole crisis of Fulani eviction, is still on trial in Cotonou, Benin Republic after he was arrested on July 19, 2021, while attempting to travel to Germany.

Since then, he has remained on trial despite efforts by some Yoruba nation agitators to secure his release.
