Heavy shooting in Delta State Community has left many in fear.
The residents of Aladja community in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State, southern Nigeria, on Friday morning, September 16, 2022, raised the alarm that the people of Ogbe-Ijoh community in Warri South-West Local Government were allegedly shooting sporadically at their Aladja community.
According to witnesses the heavy shooting in Delta State Community came as the 7-day ultimatum they handed to the State Boundary demarcation committee to replace buildings allegedly destroyed in the area came to an end.
An indigene of Aladja community, Comrade Ighotegwolor Bezi raised the alarm in a telephone conversation with DAILY POST in Warri.
He said, “no one has been wounded or killed at the moment, but the area is tensed.
“We are calling on the relevant security agencies, including the Delta State Government to come to the rescue of the people of Aladja community before the situation gets out of hand.”
He warned, however, that the Aladja people would not fold their arms and allow the attackers go free.
Recallsm that the members of the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom Interest Defensive Forum had alleged unlawful destruction of their buildings in the process of marking out boundary demarcation lines.
One Chance Gang Arrested by Police in Lagos

Police have arrested r-old man Bamidele Abiodu, 45-year-old Olumide Faleye and 49-year-old Toyin Adekoya for duping unsuspecting passengers in Lagos State on Friday.
The three suspects were arrested by operatives of the Ojodu Division at 10:30 am on Friday at Omole Estate Phase 1 after their victim raised an alarm.
According to Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, the suspects who were operating in a Toyota Camry car, with registration number KSF 608 GH, disguises as driver and passengers to pick up unsuspecting passengers.
Then start discussions about some dollars purportedly kept in the boot.
Further investigation revealed that the gang started this crime in January.
Meanwhile, the suspects have been arraigned.
Tension as armed robbers invade Osun community, attack banks

Residents of Okuku in Odo- Otin Local Government Area of Osun State on Friday ran helter-skelter when armed robbers raided a bank in the town.
Okuku is the hometown of former military governor of Lagos State and later elected governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
The robbers, who invaded the bank about 1pm, shot sporadically. It could not be ascertained whether they stole money. It was, however, learnt that nobody was killed.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the attack.
The PPRO could not confirm the name of the bank. She, however, gave an assurance that efforts were on to arrest the robbers. Opalola said the Police Commissioner, Olawale Olokode, had led a team of the anti-robbery squad to trail the robbers for possible arrest.
Student ordered to sweep Court premises for stealing in Kaduna

The Chief Magistrates Court sitting in Kaduna, has ordered a 25-year-old student, Samuel Raymond to sweep the court premises for three weeks for stealing three plasma television sets and two laptops.
The Magistrate, Mr Ibrahim Emmanuel, sentenced Raymond after he pleaded guilty to stealing without an option of a fine.
It was gathered that, the Prosecution Counsel, Insp Leo Chidi, told the court that the convict conspired with one other, now at large, and stole three plasma television sets and two laptops from the resident of one Moses Caleb at Ungwan Maigero, Kaduna, on September 15.
Leo also said that the offence contravened Section 217 of the Kaduna State Penal Code provisions.Start slideshow
