Nevertheless, specific signs and symptoms could be an indication that you are in the first weeks of pregnancy. According to Healthline, provided below are some of the early signs of pregnancy you may notice before missing your period. Keep in mind that pregnancy signs usually mimic PMS symptoms.

1. Darkening areolas: You might also notice your areolas, which are the area around your nipples that get darkened. This can occur as early as one to two weeks after conception and is usually the first sign of pregnancy.

2. Cervical mucus: You may observe a change or increase in discharge from your private organ in early pregnancy. During the first trimester, you might secrete sticky, white, or pale yellow mucus. This is induced by increased hormones and vaginal blood flow. This might continue throughout your pregnancy as your cervix softens.

3. Basal body temperature: Your basal body temperature (BBT) is your temperature when you are fully at rest. It’s often taken when you first wake up in the morning. An increase in basal body temperature for 18 days following ovulation might be an early sign of pregnancy. This approach works best if you have been tracking your BBT for a while and know what it was pre-pregnancy and throughout your cycle.

A human rights group under the umbrella of Media Health and Rights Initiative of Nigeria, (MHR) has said that restrictions on legal and post abortion care will cause more harm on women than good.

The group was reacting to the recent judgement of a US Supreme Court that ended the right to abortion in a seismic ruling that shreds half a century of constitutional protections on one of the most divisive and bitterly fought issues in American political life.

In a statement made available to journalists by Mrs Alu Azege, the MHR stated that the ban is a form of violation of women’s rights under the guise of protecting fetal life.

While reiterating that as human and gender rights activists it will not relent in reminding relevant stakeholders of the damage of trying to control and suppress the female gender, the group emphasised the need to educate women and girls on safe ways to solve reproductive health issues that will not put their lives at risk.

The statement read: “For an organization like Media, Health and Rights Initiative (MHR) with a deep passion for women’s freedom and rights to their bodies in developing countries, the ruling of the United States that denied constitutional rights to access safe and legal abortions, spelled an era of uncertain times.

“The goals that stakeholders have struggled to achieve in countries with stiffer human rights legislation now seem even further than before also due to varied uncertain times. Uncertain times which are gradually becoming the norm in an untoward and helpless manner.

“The causes are many and different in every part of the world: political crises and uprisings, military actions, wars, invasions, coups, humanitarian problems, refugee crises, migration crises, economic crises, public health, and health services crises, food emergencies, climate emergencies, the Covid19 pandemic, continuing and increasing poverty, continuing and increased unemployment and uncertain pay, inflation and cost of living rises, breakdowns in internet communication (which primarily affects young people). All these times have directly and indirectly puts women and girls in an unsafe abortion.

“The secrecy that women and girls have had to cloak themselves in when trying to terminate unwanted pregnancies has only served to increase deaths from unsafe abortions to an all-time high.

“According to an estimate recorded in a research done by the Guttmacher Institute, at least 456,000 deaths result from unsafe abortions performed in Nigeria every year. This is likened to 6 plane crashes annually.

“59% of women obtaining abortions in Nigeria are married women.

“Through engagement derived from providing psychosocial support and counseling for girls and women who are members of our communities on our social channels, we have surmised that restrictions on legal abortions and post abortion care have done more harm than good, killing and causing harm to countless women daily.

“This is a form of violation of women’s rights under the guise of protecting fetal life. As human and gender rights activists, MHR will continue to remind relevant stakeholders of the damage of trying to control and suppress the female gender, as well as appeal and educate women and girls on safe ways to solve reproductive health issues that do not put their lives at risk, through effective collaborations and partnerships.

“We believe in family planning and that families should be by choice and not by chance”.

Body tissues and fat make up the breasts. The breasts sag and deflate if their ligaments begin to weaken and lose their support.

The main causes of sagging breasts are typically old age, pregnancy, smoking, and hormones. However, there are some methods you can do on your own to enhance breast firmness.

According to Medicinenet and Healthline, the following are 4 home remedies women should start to tighten up drooping breasts:

1. Massage with ice: Ice massage is a successful method to lift and regain firmness in sagging breasts. This is because the tissue will contract in response to the cold, giving the appearance of firmer breasts. It is advised to take a pair of ice cubes and rub them in a circular motion around your breast.

2. Diet: Eating a healthy, antioxidant-rich diet is helpful for your skin all over your body. Antioxidants are abundant in fruits and vegetables. Additionally, staying hydrated with enough water might help firm up your breasts by improving the appearance of your skin.

3. Exercise: Breast tissue cannot be firmed up by exercise due to its lack of muscle, however, there are muscles and fibrous connective tissue behind the breasts that can be worked out to enhance your chest’s overall appearance. Numerous chest exercises, such as pushups, planks, and the cobra stance, are advised to enhance posture in addition to muscle strength.

4: Supportive bra: The chest can look better when you’re wearing a bra that fits properly and provides enough support. The right bra size for many women is unknown, and it might alter over time. Some clothing retailers have staff members who can measure you and determine what size bra you should wear. Additionally, it’s critical to wear a supportive bra while working out.

A new study presented at the European Society of Cardiology has revealed the blood group types that are likely to suffer a heart attack.

According to the report, while myocardial infarction does not only affect older people, young people are also susceptible.

The report listed heart attacks are caused by overweight, obesity and unhealthy lifestyle habits as some of the factors that could lead to heart attack.

In the study, researchers compared data from more than 1.3 million people from nine previous studies.

Overall, people with type A, B or AB blood were 9% more likely to experience a cardiovascular event, such as a heart attack, than those with type O blood.

While it’s not clear why blood type can increase the risk of heart attack, researchers have some suspicions. For one, people with non-O blood types tend to have higher blood clotting proteins, which create clogged arteries that are one of the main causes of heart attacks.

People with blood types A, B and AB also tend to have high cholesterol and higher levels of inflammation.
