2023 Census: Security Not A threat – Isiaka Yahaya

The National Population Commission, , Public Affairs Department, Dr Isiaka Yahaya believes that security would not be a threat to the conduct of the 2023 Population and Housing slated to commence from May 3.

According to him, since security did not affect the recently conducted , “it will not affect the census.

“Adequate arrangement is in place to ensure the census is conducted without any hitch”, Dr Isiaka Yahaya said on Saturday at the Bloggers/Social Media Interactive Workshop Towards A Successful 2023 Population And Housing Census” held at the Commission's Headquarters in .

Dr Yahaya while presenting his paper: ‘Technology Innovations in the 2023 Population and Housing Census', said there is no alternative to technology.

“The way and manner the Independent National used the BVAS in the conduct of the election, the National Population Commission will sophisticated devices would be simpler to use when deployed for the conduct of the Population and Housing Census”.
