Wisdom in Burial Ceremonies!

By Evangelist Benjamin Eniwoareghe Enajedu

As an evangelist, I’m reminded that life requires wisdom, especially when it comes to burial ceremonies. Let’s not be anxious or stressed about finances (Matthew 6:25-34). Instead, let’s look to biblical examples of peaceful and dignified interments.

The Muslims’ approach to burial ceremonies is a great example – simple, peaceful, and stress-free. We can learn from their wisdom! As it is written, “The wisdom of the prudent is to give thought to their ways” (Proverbs 14:8).

In the Bible, we see examples of simple and dignified burials, like Abraham’s burial of Sarah (Genesis 23:19) and the burial of Jesus (John 19:38-42). No fanfare, just respect and dignity 🙏.

Let’s live by example and show the world that we trust in God’s provision and wisdom (Proverbs 3:5-6). Let’s bury our loved ones with peace, dignity, and simplicity, and focus on celebrating their lives (Ecclesiastes 7:1-4).

*A Thought to Ponder…

It’s interesting how some people who didn’t show love or support to the deceased when they were alive are the ones lavishing money on elaborate funerals.

Let’s be wise and prioritize what truly matters – showing love, kindness, and support to those who need it most (Matthew 25:31-46).

As it is written, “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” (1 John 3:17).

*Red Alert! 🚨*

Don’t let anxiety and stress consume you! 😊 Instead, trust in God’s goodness and provision (Psalm 37:25). Let’s be wise and live with gratitude, knowing that God is in control (Romans 8:28).

May God grant us wisdom and peace as we navigate life’s challenges 🙏. Amen!
