2Baba’s Family Petitions Police, Alleges Assault, Financial Betrayal By Natasha Osawaru
The family of award-winning musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has formally petitioned the Inspector General of Police over a series of alleged troubling incidents involving his wife, Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.
Dated November 12, 2025, the petition requests urgent intervention from the Nigeria Police Force, citing what the family described as “disturbing incidents” that have left 2Baba emotionally distressed and financially affected.
According to the document, Natasha is accused of physical assault, both in the United Kingdom and in Abuja. The family also alleges that she gained unauthorized access to 2Baba’s phone and bank accounts, including transferring funds without his consent.
The petition further claims that Natasha allegedly seized the musician’s personal belongings and travel documents, including his passport, preventing him from attending business engagements and scheduled performances.
In addition, the family pointed to incidents they say have resulted in financial loss, reputational damage, and emotional strain for the singer. The petition also raises concerns about alleged substance abuse by Natasha, claiming it contributed to violent behavior and increased risks to 2Baba’s wellbeing.
Perhaps the most serious allegation in the petition concerns a possible violation of marriage laws and fraudulent misrepresentation, which the Idibia family insists must be thoroughly investigated.
The petition states that these issues have caused 2Baba “severe emotional distress, financial hardship, and public embarrassment,” warning that his personal safety and mental health could be at risk if the matter is not urgently addressed.
As of now, neither 2Baba nor Natasha has publicly commented on the petition, and the Nigeria Police Force has yet to issue a response.
This development comes amid heightened public attention on the couple, who have recently trended on social media over marital tensions. Recall that 2Baba married Natasha following reports of his divorce from his former wife, Annie Idibia.
Nigerian gospel artiste Nutty Josh, whose real name was Joshua Acheme Edache, has passed away following reports of a severe road accident that left him in a medical coma for nearly a month.
Kingdomboiz had earlier reported that the exact circumstances surrounding his death had not been independently confirmed, and that further details were being awaited.
New information obtained from people familiar with the situation reveals that Nutty Josh sustained injuries during an incident at a motorcycle training school in Abuja about five weeks before his death.
A runaway driver was reportedly involved in the accident. However, contrary to an earlier account, the driver was not riding a power bike.
Following the incident, he experienced persistent headaches and difficulty breathing, although the seriousness of these symptoms was reportedly not immediately known to those around him.
At one point, Nutty Josh appeared to be recovering and attended church, where he testified about how God had helped him through the incident.
However, upon his return to the hospital afterwards, medical professionals discovered that he had also sustained internal injuries.
He subsequently underwent further examination and treatment, and was later placed in a medically induced coma.
Sadly, he passed away on Sunday morning, September 20, 2026.
These details describe the events preceding his death and should not be interpreted as an officially confirmed medical cause of death.
While family members have yet to release an official detailed statement regarding the final medical cause of death, tributes continue to pour in from fans and fellow artists honoring his contributions to gospel music.

Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has criticized the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman, over his comments about the performance of Abia State Governor, Alex Otti.
Suleman had recently spoken positively about Otti’s administration, saying the governor could win a second term without doing much campaigning.
Ogala, who is the African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate in the forthcoming Abia State election, reacted to the clergyman’s comments in an Instagram post.

Ogala also alleged that Suleman had not visited Abia State despite making public claims about the situation in the state.
She particularly disputed his claim concerning the availability of electricity in the state.
The actress further accused some people who identify as pastors of using religion to mislead members of the public instead of engaging in legitimate work.
She said: “Most people you see that call themselves pastors are lazy people. Who couldn’t work but decided to call themselves and start deceiving by claiming God called them. Some even go extra mile to involve in voodoo. Suleman Johnson, what is his work? Does that man look and behave like a pastor?
“Suleman, I know a lot that will shock the world. Forget the fact I said I don’t know you. I know a lot that happened at Protea Hotel Lagos including room numbers. How dare you come to lie that there is 24 hrs light in Abia? And you claim you were not campaigning.
“Not under my watch, I will not allow people like Johnson Suleman deceive my people any more, their target are people in diaspora. The main people living on the ground in Abia are suffering. You haven’t been to Abia and you openly affirmed Alex Oti. Suleman, it will shock you when I decide to expose you to the whole world. I’m not like the others you experienced.
The world knows I don’t lie. I speak with evidence. This is a direct attack on me and the people of Abia and it will not be tolerated. Bring your police and judiciary. I will face you head on.”
Sharon Ademefun, elder sister to Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed how she manages her brother’s finances and tries to curb his spending on luxury items.
Ademefun, who serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Davido Music Worldwide, said she conducts structured financial reviews with the artist to enforce fiscal discipline.
She spoke during an appearance on The Morayo Show hosted by television host Morayo Afolabi-Brown and posted on YouTube on Tuesday.
“Me and Davido sit and have a finance meeting every week because I think it is important for him to know how his money is being spent. I will now say, ‘David, please, no more cars,’” Ademefun said.
She said despite her warnings, Davido sometimes continues to acquire luxury cars.
“No more jewelry. 24 hours later, you know how they normally say it, ‘2 to 3 business days’, I’ll just see on the blogs. This latest car.”
Ademefun also disclosed that she had been involved in Davido’s career from its early days, saying their current professional relationship was a natural progression from her previous role in his management team.
According to her, their relationship sometimes involved disagreements because she was willing to challenge her brother when necessary.
“The problem is that me and David were always fighting. If other people can’t tell him, me I’ll tell him. And so, I think the truth of the matter is it was a natural progression.
“I think that we both needed to go off and do our own things. And now I can take what I’ve learned in business and then help him put structure into his business. So, it’s just more official.”
Ademefun also said she had signed a non-disclosure agreement when Afolabi-Brown asked whether she was the person who knew the details of Davido’s wealth.
“I’ve signed a non-disclosure agreement! I can’t confirm or deny!” she said.
She further disclosed that Davido has a functional management team that handles his day-to-day logistics and she sometimes intervenes when she believes cost-cutting decisions could affect Davido’s comfort while travelling.
“You know, if you book him on an airline that doesn’t have a good first class, he can get to the airport and say, ‘Yeah, if you want me to go to an event, buy first class’… I’ve bought a ticket at the airport many times.
“Because maybe they tried to cut corners or cut costs somewhere. So, there’s lots of funny things.”
Ademefun also spoke about her business interests, including Body Politics, a clothing line she said she started out of frustration with the limited clothing options available to women with different body types.
She said the business offers clothing in sizes ranging from XXS to 5XL.
Ademefun said she was cautious about expanding the business too quickly, adding that her focus was on improving what she was already doing.
“I think the next big thing is to do what I’m doing better. I don’t want to make the mistake of over-expanding too quickly, but I think you’re going to see more of me, more pop-ups, and more availability,” she said.
