The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a prominent women leader of the City Boys Movement, wanted over allegations of obtaining money by false pretence.
In a notice issued on Monday via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the anti-graft agency said Halimat Adenike Tejuosho is being sought in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct. The notice, signed by the Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, urged members of the public to assist with credible information that could lead to her arrest.
The EFCC specifically called on anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts to contact its offices across the country. It also advised that such information could be relayed through its official communication channels, including designated phone lines and email platforms, or by reporting to the nearest police station and other security agencies.
GWG.ng reports that the declaration of Halimat Adenike Tejuosho as wanted has stirred attention within political circles, coming shortly after her recent appointment as the South-West Zonal Women Leader of the City Boys Movement. In that role, she was tasked with providing strategic leadership for women-focused initiatives, including political mobilisation, civic engagement, and advocacy across the region.
The development marks a dramatic twist in what was seen as the rising profile of Halimat Adenike Tejuosho within the movement.
