Nigerian content creator Amaka Ojo, popularly known as Jarvis, has explained why she frequently asks her husband and fellow content creator, Peller, for money.
Jarvis and Peller have become one of the widely discussed young celebrity couples in Nigeria, with their relationship regularly attracting attention from fans on social media. Their interactions, lifestyle and public conversations often generate reactions from their followers.
In a recent discussion, Jarvis addressed questions about her habit of asking Peller for money. She explained that her requests should not necessarily be interpreted as a sign that she is financially dependent on her husband.
According to the content creator, asking her husband for money is part of how she views their relationship and his responsibilities as her partner.
Jarvis suggested that there are certain things she expects from Peller as her husband, including financial support when she makes requests. For her, receiving money from her husband is not simply about whether she can afford something herself but also about allowing him to play his role within their relationship.
Her explanation has sparked conversations among social media users, particularly about financial responsibilities between couples.
Relationships involving public figures often attract different opinions, especially when the individuals openly discuss personal matters. Jarvis and Peller have also built a strong following through their content, meaning that even seemingly private aspects of their relationship can quickly become subjects of public discussion.
Jarvis’ comments appear to reflect her personal understanding of marriage and how she and Peller handle money within their relationship. Rather than presenting her requests as an indication of financial difficulty, she explained them from the perspective of the expectations she has of her husband.
Peller, who is also a popular Nigerian content creator, has frequently appeared alongside Jarvis in social media content. The pair have developed a significant online following through their videos and public appearances.
Their relationship has therefore become part of their public image, with fans regularly commenting on their interactions and the way they relate to each other.
The latest comments from Jarvis have generated mixed reactions. While some followers understand her position and believe couples can establish their own financial arrangements, others have questioned the idea of frequently requesting money from a partner.
However, Jarvis’ explanation makes it clear that she views the matter as part of the dynamic between herself and Peller rather than something that should necessarily be judged by outsiders.
Financial arrangements can differ significantly from one relationship to another. Some couples maintain separate finances, while others share their income and expenses. Others may have one partner take greater responsibility for particular household or personal expenses.
For Jarvis, her decision to ask Peller for money appears to be connected to the expectations she has within their relationship.
The discussion also highlights how social media can bring private relationship matters into the public domain. When celebrities share aspects of their personal lives with millions of followers, their choices can become topics for widespread debate.
Despite the reactions, Jarvis appears comfortable with her approach and has offered her own explanation for why she continues to make financial requests from her husband.
As Jarvis and Peller continue their careers as content creators, their relationship is likely to remain a subject of interest among their followers. Their ability to combine their personal relationship with their social media careers has helped keep them in the spotlight.
For now, Jarvis’ explanation has given fans further insight into how she views financial support within her marriage and why she does not consider her requests to Peller unusual.

Why Ogogo cannot be moved from hospital — Jide Kosoko
Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has explained why his colleague, Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, cannot be moved from the hospital despite receiving hundreds of offers from people willing to assist with his treatment.
Kosoko made this known via an Instagram post, appreciating fans, colleagues and well-wishers who have expressed concern over Ogogo’s health and offered prayers, medical assistance and spiritual intervention.
According to the actor, more than 300 people, and possibly over 500, have reached out with offers of assistance, with each person believing they have something that could help Ogogo recover.
He, however, said it would be extremely difficult to move Ogogo from the hospital to different locations while he is receiving medical care.
“We have received hundreds of such offers, and we sincerely appreciate every single one of them,” Kosoko said.
“However, we humbly appeal to everyone not to stop praying for Ogogo. Please, continue to pray with us.”
Kosoko said the number of offers had created a practical challenge for the family and those caring for Ogogo.
“It is extremely difficult to move him from the hospital to different locations at this stage of his treatment, especially considering the large number of people who have offered to help,” he said.
He added: “We have received offers from more than 300, and even over 500 people, each sincerely believing that they have something that could help him. The challenge is simply: Where do we take him to? And how do we move him from the hospital while he is receiving care?”
The veteran actor appealed to those who had offered to assist not to feel offended if Ogogo could not be brought to them for spiritual treatment or other interventions.
Kosoko stressed that the inability to accept or act on every offer did not mean that the family doubted the intentions of those reaching out.
“Please understand that our inability to bring Ogogo to anyone does not mean that we do not appreciate you, nor does it mean that we doubt your intentions or your desire to help,” he said.
He expressed gratitude for the widespread support Ogogo has received from people in Nigeria and around the world, urging supporters to continue praying for the actor from wherever they are.
Kosoko said the family remained hopeful about Ogogo’s recovery.
“We believe strongly that, with your prayers, our prayers, and the mercy of Almighty God, Taye will come out of this situation successfully. There is nothing impossible before Almighty God,” he said.

Davido opens up on alleged attack on Adeleke’s convoy
Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has clarified reports of an alleged attack on the convoy of Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke.
Reports had emerged that suspected hoodlums engaged security personnel attached to the governor’s convoy in a gun battle at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji, on Wednesday.
The incident was said to have occurred shortly after Adeleke received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and visited the monarch’s palace to celebrate his electoral victory.
However, Davido, in a post on his verified X handle on Wednesday evening, dismissed reports linking the reported fight to the governor’s convoy.
According to him, the incident occurred outside the palace and had nothing to do with the governor or his entourage.
“Lies! It was a fight outside the palace that had nothing to do with us. The people love his excellency,” he wrote.
The clarification came amid reports of heightened activity around the palace following the governor’s visit after his victory in the recent Osun State governorship election.

Mohbad’s Brother Adura Responds After VDM’s Fresh Allegations Involving Wunmi
The controversy surrounding the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has taken another turn following fresh allegations made by social media critic VeryDarkMan.
Mohbad’s younger brother, Adura Aloba, has appeared to respond to the latest development with a cryptic social media post rather than directly addressing the accusations.
According to reports, VeryDarkMan recently raised questions about documents allegedly connected to Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi Aloba. The online critic claimed that there were discrepancies between the name appearing on Wunmi’s international passport and information reportedly associated with her National Identification Number (NIN).
VeryDarkMan questioned the circumstances surrounding the alleged differences and went further to make serious claims concerning Wunmi’s efforts to establish her entitlement to assets associated with her late husband.
The allegations have not been established as facts, and there has been no indication from the available reports that a competent court has found Wunmi guilty of document forgery or any related offence.
Amid the renewed controversy, VDM also questioned Adura’s position in the long-running issues surrounding Mohbad’s death. He reportedly asked why the singer’s brother had not, in his view, provided sufficient information about what happened before Mohbad died.
Rather than engaging directly with the accusations, Adura took to social media on August 17, 2026, where he shared a video of himself enjoying music inside a car.
The post came with a caption encouraging followers to generate a large number of comments. Many social media users interpreted the post as Adura’s indirect response to the criticism and allegations being directed at him.
The development has generated mixed reactions online, with some followers expressing support for Adura while others continued to demand answers about the issues surrounding Mohbad’s death and his estate.
Some supporters praised Adura for remaining focused and for his reported involvement in taking care of Mohbad’s only child. Others, however, questioned why he had not directly addressed the issues raised by VeryDarkMan.
The latest controversy is another chapter in the prolonged public debate surrounding Mohbad, whose death in September 2023 triggered widespread reactions across Nigeria and beyond.
Since his death, questions surrounding the circumstances of his final days, his family relationships and matters connected to his estate have continued to attract intense public attention.
The latest accusations have therefore reignited discussions about the singer’s family, particularly the relationship between Wunmi, Adura and other members of the Aloba family.
For now, Adura’s social media post appears to be his response to the latest controversy, although he did not directly address the specific allegations raised by VeryDarkMan.
As the dispute continues to unfold online, the claims made by the various parties should be treated as allegations unless independently verified or established by the relevant authorities.
