The recent criticism of the FCT Minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike by the Zamfara State Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal over the Rainbow Coalition’s decisions on the 2027 general elections has been condemned by a Group.
In a statement signed by Comrade Dantijo Mainasara on behalf of the PDP NorthWest Youth Alliance, (PDP-NWYA), it described Lawal’s comments as, “highly unfortunate, regrettable, and indecorious. One wonders what gives Lawal the temerity to make such a wishy-washy statement, which is lacking in context, logic, and reasoning. 
Perhaps, in his bid to get possible look-in for his second term ambition, he decided to join the fray, in an issue that looks deeper than what is on the surface.
Lawal, is advised to worry more about the disenchanted citizenry, and disoriented people of Zamfara who are angry and disappointed at his governance style and policies that have led to humongous poverty, pervading hunger, and corrosive economy.
The Group reiterated that, “the good people of Zamfara are still bitter with Lawal for riding to the Government House on their collective votes, only for him to abandon them and join the APC. It was his personal wish and to further his political aspiration, and NOT a collective desire. Someone should inform Lawal that, the vast majority of Zamfara have resolved to vote against him for the political betrayal.”
Continuing, the PDP-NWYA affirmed that, “no matter how hard Lawal tries to talk-down Wike, he should know that he is millions of miles below the FCT Minister. The huge contributions of Wike, who is the National Leader of the PDP is known and appreciated by those that matter in the APC and NOT the “johny-just-come.
Let it be known to Lawal, and his acolytes that Wike is more relevant and committed to the re-election of President Bola Tinubu; a position he has taken long before now, and he has been vocal and open about it
We advise Lawal to stop chasing phoney endorsements in Lagos and Abuja, and concentrate on offering realistic governance to the people, back home. Let us also state that anymore attempts by him to denigrate the lofty contributions of Wike, would not be accepted by the PDP-NWYA, some other Groups, and the PDP, in general.
