Actress and producer, Funke Akindele, has said that she will never be ashamed of her humble beginnings despite her fame and fortune.

I’ve never been ashamed of my humble beginnings, and I never will be. Over the years, I broadened my knowledge, attended workshops, sharpened my craft through experience, and found my own voice. And I’m still learning because growth never stops,” she said in a tweet.

Continuing, Akindele noted that she holds famous Hollywood filmmaker cum actor in high esteem as a role model, whom she has learned a lot from.

“Tyler Perry is one of my role models, and I learnt a lot from watching his films, especially when it came to storytelling and writing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with learning from someone you admire. In fact, that’s how many great journeys begin.

“Today, many up –and -coming filmmakers say they’ve learnt from my work, and I’m truly grateful for that. That’s how creativity is passed on. We learn, we grow, and we inspire others. Never be ashamed of where you started. Keep learning. Keep growing.”

Disgraced R&B singer R. Kelly has officially asked President Donald Trump to end his 30-year prison sentence for s3x crimes.

The disgraced 59-year-old music artist, whose full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, was convicted of federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges in New York in September 2021.

Attorneys for the singer, whose full name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, submitted the request for a commutation of sentence to the Office of the Pardon Attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice this year. It is currently listed on the office’s website as “pending.”

In 2025, Kelly’s attorneyasked the president to set him free from prison, accusing federal authorities of plotting to steal his mail to pressure witnesses to testify against him and later recruiting a white supremacist to kill him in prison.

The singer was initially convicted of nine counts of a superseding indictment in Sept. 2021. He was charged with violating the Mann Act and racketeering that involved the sexual exploitation of children.

The following June, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. In Feb. 2023, Kelly was separately sentenced to 20 years in prison for child sex crimes, with the judge ruling that all but one year would be served concurrently with his previous 30-year sentence.

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has tagged his wife, Chioma Adeleke, as his life coordinator.

Davido who was seen calling Chioma on the phone that he was stranded, asked her to transfer $4,000 to his personal assistant, Lati.

The singer, in the viral video, further revealed that Chioma is the one managing his finances because of his reckless spending.

While tagging her his life coordinator, he said to her on the phone call, “Hello, hello baby, good morning my wife, my love. Help me send Lati $4,000. I can’t login, I don’t know why, is the service here. Alright. We’re taking off now to Naija, I love you.”

His official streamer, Davreltv handler, asked him, “So your wife has been managing the money?”

He responded sharply, “Of course, you know I’m a reckless spender. Na she dey arrange everything. Na my life coordinator be that.”
