Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided a positive injury update ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
Arteta confirmed on Friday that Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori and Christos Tzolis have returned to training and could be available for selection if they come through Saturday’s session unscathed.
“They all trained today, they will train tomorrow and if all is okay, they will be available,” Arteta told reporters.
However, the Arsenal boss remains uncertain over the availability of Noni Madueke, who is a doubt for the trip to Liverpool.
“We don’t know yet. We have a training session tomorrow, let’s see if he can complete it,” Arteta said.
The manager, however, did not rule Madueke out of the Anfield encounter, leaving the winger with a chance to feature depending on his recovery and Saturday’s training session.
Arsenal will be hoping to have as many key players available as possible for what promises to be a crucial Premier League fixture against Liverpool.
