Gallant Bauchi residents waste robber in self defense

Some residents of the Misau local government area of Bauchi State mobbed and killed one of the robbery gangs who attacked the town, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has said.

The State Command of NSCDC said it arrested and paraded four other suspected armed robbers.

Police spokesman DSC Fatima Adamu said that a distress call of robbery activity around an old burial ground area in Misau was reported and it was acted on.

She said that operatives of the Corps found that one of the robbery suspects had been apprehended by an angry mob in the community.

The suspect confessed they were six in number as he was beaten to a coma before being taken to the General Hospital, Misau where he was later certified dead by a medical doctor.

“Four members of the gang have been arrested by operatives of the Corps namely: Jamilu Ibrahim 22 years, resident of Railway quarters, Bauchi, Nuhu Yau 19 years, resident of Unguwan Karofi, Bauchi, Abubakar Abdulmumin 22 years, resident of Railway quarters, close to ECWA 2 church, Bauchi and Alhassan Hussaini, 20 years, resident of Unguwan Kandahar, Bauchi. Other members are still at large.

“The Exhibits recovered from them at the point of arrest include, cutlasses, locally made ammunition, daggers/knives, smartphones, and assorted charms.”

They were not lovers, she was abducted -Friend of lady killed by gospel singer reveals

A friend of the lady recently murdered by a gospel singer, Salome Eleojo Adaidu has shared new insights about the incident.

She debunked reports that her friend was dating the suspect.

Abby in a post stated that her friend and singer Ajayi were not dating.

According to her, the deceased was kidnapped and killed by the singer.

Abby wrote: “She is my friends younger sister and she’s not his girlfriend he abducted her and killed her in the most gruesome way possible. I’m presently at their house and it’s nothing any family should experience. She’s not a spoilt child she keeps to herself and hardly hardly steps out unless it’s necessary. I have a lot to say but strength eludes me.”

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many calling for justice for Salome and her family. The police are currently investigating the matter, and Timileyin is in custody pending further questioning.

Another friend of the deceased, identified on Facebook as Alli Stephen, also took to his page and disclosed that Salome had left her home on Sunday, January 12, 2025, to visit a friend in Karu, Nasarawa state, but unfortunately entered the wrong tricycle.

Barbaric: They recorded, posted their dastardly act-Actress Osunde angry over gang R3pe of 12-yr-old

Nollywood actress, Jemima Osunde, has expressed anger over the gang-r3pe of a 12-year-old girl by five male suspects in Edo State.

LIB reported that the heinous incident occurred on December 24, 2024, in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that the suspects recorded the act and posted the video on social media.

Three of the suspects have been arrested.

“A 12 yr old girl was r3ped by 5 boys in Edo state. Her mother sent her on an errand and they took her into an uncompleted building and did this to her. It didn’t end there, they recorded it and posted it. A child! 12 years old!,” the actress wrote.
