The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ughelli North acting executives gathered at the residence of Hon. Daniel Emaye, the acting Chairman, in Afiesere town on August 30, 2025. The meeting aimed to promote peace, unity, and growth within the party.
The meeting began with an opening prayer led by Hon. Evang. Gabriel Ohwotite. Hon. Daniel Emaye welcomed everyone and briefed them on the state of affairs within the party, from the national level to the local government. He urged members to remain focused and calm, emphasizing that PDP is very much alive.
Amb. Kpohraror emphasized the importance of careful consideration when selecting leadership positions across the 11 wards of Ughelli North. He stressed that the party must produce sellable candidates for the 2027 elections. Deacon Efe Oberiko, the acting secretary, reminded everyone of the ongoing voter registration exercise and encouraged them to sensitize their people.
Engr. Kingsley Ogbor supported the chairman’s call for careful decision-making to avoid derailing the party’s rebuilding plans. Hon. Simon Ohwo commended the acting executives for their efforts and urged everyone to remain steadfast in the party’s rebranding and rebuilding process.
