Hoodlums storm ADC rally in Lagos, damage rostrum, sound equipment(Video)

Hoodlums in their numbers reportedly invaded the alternative venue for the declaration of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) for the ADC Coalition in Alimosho area on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

In a message by DJ Mega Mixer  on X, he said the police had earlier sealed off the Lion Field in Alimosho meant for GRV declaration, the ‘fallback’ area was disrupted by thugs they suspected to have been sponsored by ruling APC in Lagos.

He said the photographer of GRV was badly wounded.

Today in Lagos, police sealed Lion Field in Alimosho ahead of the event for Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) @GRVlagos declaration for the ADC coalition, then a fallback venue was disrupted by suspected thugs allegedly working alongside security operatives, leaving his personal photographer reportedly badly injured.

Political intolerance in Lagos is condemnable. Given antecedents documented by credible observers during the 2023 polls in Lagos, many Nigerians now view these recurring disruptions as state-sponsored violence.

If the APC-led government in Lagos believes they have delivered both at the state and federal levels, should there be a need to chase the opposition up and down? Shouldn’t good works be able to win people over on their own.”
