After three hours of grilling, Professor Joash Amupitan, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), was confirmed by the Senate as the substantive Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday.

The National Council of State supported the nomination, which led to his screening today.
Virtually all the students had questions for the seasoned lecturer who answered all the senators questions without stress.
The senators confirmed that Amupitan had an intimidating CV though that is” not new because we had seen so many professors heading INEC in the past.
