The Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives heartily congratulates the entire Body of Christ on the celebration of this year’s Christmas; which marks the birth of Jesus Christ.

“Indeed, the unique occasion is of immense spiritual impact to all Christians, as it gives everyone the opportunity to reflect on the significance of His birth, teachings, and the renewal of commitment to live according to His principles of faith, sacrifices, kindness, and compassion to mankind. 
“As our Christian brethren across the country join others around the world to mark, and acknowledge His birth and ministry which embodies love, peace, and unity, the Caucus admonish all to imbibe, and practice these life-transforming and enduring virtues.
“The Caucus also wishes to admonish Christians, while celebrating the special occasion to pray for the security of lives and properties of Nigerians. Also, they should seek the guidance and direction of God Almighty upon our Leaders to take the right decisions and actions in their respective positions; at all times and in every situation. We also call on our Christian brethren, and all Nigerians to use this historical occasion of the birth of Jesus Christ to offer supplications for peace, national cohesion, growth and development of Nigeria.
