Ugbe is retiring after nearly 15 years at the helm of the pay-TV company, a period during which he guided MultiChoice Nigeria through significant industry shifts and evolving market conditions.

Omotosho brings over two decades of experience spanning media, telecommunications and digital services across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.

She has held several senior leadership roles within the MultiChoice Group, including Executive Head of Customer Value Management in Nigeria and Group Executive Head of Customer Value Management for the Rest of Africa.

Before her appointment, Omotosho served as Regional Director for Southern Africa, overseeing operations across seven countries.

Reacting to her appointment, Omotosho described Nigeria as a strategic and dynamic market for the Group.

“It is a privilege to be entrusted with the leadership of MultiChoice Nigeria at this important moment. Nigeria remains one of the Group’s most strategic and dynamic markets,” she said.

“I look forward to working with our teams and partners to deepen our relationship with consumers, champion local storytelling and the creative economy, and build a future-ready organisation that delivers sustainable value.”

MultiChoice Nigeria added that Ugbe’s retirement and Omotosho’s appointment followed a structured transition process designed to ensure operational continuity and stability.
