Arnold Schwarzenegger Sold His $1.5M Bugatti Veyron – One of World’s Fastest Street Cars – To Make Gargantuan $1M Profit

The 75-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger and the 60 years that he spent under the spotlight is a saga of an Austrian boy's rise to the most famous and recognized in the world.

The Austrian Oak, as he has endearingly been nicknamed by the bodybuilding community, stands as a testament to Schwarzenegger's influence on the same, and his eventual fame in the upper strata of Hollywood elites and the filmmaking community later paved the path for many from the WWF world (re: Dwayne Johnson, John Cena, Dave Bautista) to find a second shot at fame among the glittering boulevards of la la land.

After a life marked by politics and activism, the Governator finds himself at a period of time when there is nothing to do but rest and enjoy the fruits of his extended labor.

For a man who has been so busy making a name for himself, leisure seems a difficult concept to grasp.

Rising out of a small Austrian village town, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a teenager when he decided a life of conforming was not for him – “…every time someone said, ‘You can't do this,' I said, ‘

This is not going to be for much longer because I'm going to move out of here. I want to be rich. I want to be somebody.'”

However, now that he is here and the life he envisioned has happened already, and there is nothing more to accomplish, Arnie looks back at the objects of his past, things he picked up along the way, and to the fans' disappointment, decides to part with one of the most valuable possessions in his collection.

A silver Bugatti Veyron, the legally marketable fastest street car that exists right now, has been transferred from Schwarzenegger and now lies under the ownership of a businessman, Obi Okeke for nearly $2.5 million.

The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse has been known to reach 0 to 60 mph in under 2.5 seconds and has a staggering 1000 horsepower. It also boasts a pair of mounted twin turbo-charged V8 engines.

Schwarzenegger is coming back to mainstream Hollywood with two major projects coming out this year. One of them, Utap, is his first television series project and is based on his previous and wildly famous film, True Lies. The project's synopsis describes the plot as a global spy adventure featuring a -daughter duo.

Schwarzenegger's upcoming film, Kung Fury: The Movie is also inspired and influenced by another project, Kung Fury, and will feature Schwarzenegger as an authoritative Mr. President, alongside the likes of industry veterans such as Michael Fassbender and David Hasselhoff.

A release date for Utap and Kung Fury 2 has not been set yet.
