Samuel Chukwueze was subbed in, but couldn't turn the tide as AC Milan suffered a humiliating defeat against their local rivals Inter at the San Siro on Saturday.
Goals from Marcus Thuram, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Davide Fratessi, and Hakan Calhanoglu sealed Inter's emphatic 5-1 victory over Milan.
Mkhitaryan kicked off the scoring within the first five minutes after Marcus Thuram outmuscled Milan's Thiaw. He crossed the ball into the box, finding Di Marco at the far post, who then delivered a cross across the face of the goal for Mkhitaryan to put Inter ahead.

Thuram netted his own goal in the 38th minute. A low cross from Denzel Dumfries sent Thuram wide, but he chased the ball and placed a well-cushioned shot into the top-right corner of the goal.
Samuel Chukwueze came into play in the 55th minute and assisted Milan as Rafael Leao pulled one back for them fifteen minutes into the second half. A through ball from Olivier Giroud sent the Portuguese Leao towards goal, where he found the net, igniting hopes of a comeback for the Rossoneri.
In a standout performance, Mkhitaryan stylishly restored Inter's two-goal lead. Lautaro Martinez found Mkhitaryan, and the Armenian once again slotted the ball into the bottom corner, making it 3-1.
Inter's three points were sealed when Hakan Calhanoglu scored from the spot with eleven minutes remaining. Davide Fratessi added the finishing touch in extra time.
Mkhitaryan set Fratessi through on goal, and the twenty-three-year-old ignited wild celebrations for the Nerazzurri, even taking off his shirt.
Inter handed Chukwueze's Milan their first loss of the season, while Inter maintains their flawless start in the Serie A and climbs to the top of the league.
