Former President of Liberia Johnson Sirleaf deletes tweet congratulating Tinubu As President

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the former of Liberia, has deleted her tweet congratulating Bola Ahmed after he was announced winner of the election.

Sirleaf had taken to on Monday, March 6, to write: “Congratulations to @officialABAT on his victory in #, and to the Nigerian people for exercising their democratic right to vote.

I encourage the new President to champion #WomenLeaders in his and to ensure that the rights of & girls remain a priority.”

As with other tweets shared by world leaders to congratulate Tinubu, Nigerians trooped to the replies to express their displeasure.

Sirleaf has now deleted her congratulatory message and didn't give a reason for her action.
