Nigeria’s Flying Eagles are off to a bad start in the quest to win the gold medal of the football event of African Games.
In their opening match with Uganda, they lost 2-1 in Accra. The Ugandans shot ahead in the 10th minute through Kiza Arafat Usama.
The Flying Eagles fought back and levelled up in the 37th minute through Sadiq Muhammad Isiyaka.
But as the game was drawing to a close, Uganda snatched the winner in the 81st minute through Ivan Irinimabozi.
