Ramadan: Alhaji Agbo lauds Makinde over distribution of chicken, goats, food items to IBNE constituents

In commemoration of the month of Ramadan, the elder brother to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state, Chief (Barrister) Olumuyiwa Makinde on Sunday, distributed chicken, goats and other food items as palliative to Ibadan North East (IBNE) constituents.

The distribution exercise which was carried out across wards in the local government had both olds and youths as beneficiaries including members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

According to Alhaji Wasiu Agbo, who is one of the beneficiaries, said that Chicken, wheat, rice, Semovita, goats, among others were distributed by the BADA Olubadan, Chief Makinde to Ibadan North East constituents.

Agbo lauded the philanthropic gesture of Chief Makinde, saying that his intervention was timely amidst the economic hardship.

He said: “We are very much grateful to the BADA of Ibadanland, Chief Olumuyiwa Makinde for his display of love and compassion towards the people of Ibadan North East constituents.

“As Muslims around the world prepare to observe the holy month of Ramadan, his charitable act has shown that BADA Ibadanland genuinely cares about the welfare of his people particularly Muslims faithful despite being a Christian.

“The items arrived at the times of need, people were very happy and praying for Chief Makinde and we will continue to pray for him.”

Chief Makinde however noted that the intervention is to ensure that everyone is supported in one way or the other, stressing that the effort is to complement the state government’s efforts in bringing succour to the people.
