MC Oluomo Becomes National President of NURTW

Published

on

In a significant development for the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, was elected as the new National President during the Union’s Quadrennial Delegate Conference held on Saturday.

Akinsanya was the sole candidate for the position, leading to a unanimous decision by delegates representing the four Southwest states of Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, and Ekiti. The election took place at the Union’s Zonal Secretariat located along the Osogbo/Ikirun road.

The proceedings were under the watchful eye of the acting National President, Aliyu Issa-Ore, who emphasized the strict adherence to the Union’s Constitution in the electoral process. Represented by Mrs. Adedamola Salam, the Head of Finance at the National Headquarters in Abuja, Issa-Ore confirmed that the Southwest zone had followed all constitutional requirements in electing Oluomo as the new President.

In addition to Oluomo’s election, Tajudeen Agbede was appointed as Vice President for the Southwest, while Akeem Adeosun was elected as a Trustee from the zone.

“This is our union, and we must be devoted to preserving it. We will not allow anyone to destroy our means of livelihood,” he affirmed, surrounded by family and supporters.

Baltasar Engoga Responds to Controversial Allegations, Claims Women Volunteered for Recording

Published

In a recent statement, Baltasar Engoga, a controversial figure embroiled in accusations surrounding inappropriate recordings, has defended himself by asserting that the women involved were all consenting adults.

Engoga, who has come under scrutiny following the surfacing of videos purportedly involving him and several women, addressed the controversy in a public remark.

“Many of the women asked me to record it, none of them were forced to,” Engoga stated, refuting claims of coercion or misconduct. He emphasized that all of the women involved were “mature” and had given their full permission before any recordings were made.

According to Engoga, the women were not only enthusiastic about being recorded but some even returned, asking for more after the initial sessions. “I was just having fun and they loved and enjoyed it,” he added, suggesting that the encounters were consensual and mutual in nature.

Late Army Chief Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja Died from Poisoning, Not Cancer

Published

on

A senior military source has revealed new information suggesting that the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, died from poisoning, not cancer as initially claimed by the authorities.

The revelation, made by a top-level military informant, points to the involvement of a “military cabal with sinister motives” behind the Army Chief’s death.

Gen. Lagbaja, who passed away on October 17, was initially reported to have died from cancer, a claim that was quickly disseminated to the public after the Army denied the death in a statement on October 20, labeling the news as “fake.” However, insiders within the military suggest that the cancer story was concocted to deflect suspicion and prevent anyone from being held accountable for the alleged poisoning.

According to a military source, Gen. Lagbaja had no history of cancer and appeared healthy up until his death. The source emphasized that the Army Chief had been seen engaging in physical activities, such as doing press-ups with soldiers, days before his passing—an unlikely activity for someone suffering from terminal cancer. “He was certainly poisoned,” the source stated, further calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.

There are growing concerns within the military about the potential fallout from Lagbaja’s death, particularly regarding fears of a possible coup. Although these rumors have been dismissed by high-ranking military leaders, the ongoing insecurity and economic hardship in the country are said to be contributing to unease within the ranks.

Jackson Ude, a journalist with insider sources, revealed these explosive details on Twitter, calling for a public investigation into the cause of Gen. Lagbaja’s death, stressing the need for transparency given his position as a public official. The controversy surrounding the Army Chief’s passing continues to deepen, raising questions about the stability of the military and the broader political landscape.
