Six months jail term: I’m a man, teary Bobrisky tells court

By Francesca Hangeior
Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, on Friday, admitted before the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, that he is a man.
Prior to his arrest and subsequent trial for abusing the Naira, Bobrisky had repeatedly denounced his manhood.
He had claimed that he underwent a surgery that successful transformed her into a transgender woman.
However, before he was sentenced to six months in prison without option of fine, trial Justice Abimbola Awogboro asked him his gender and Bobrisky replied: “My lord, I am a man.”
Recall that Bobrisky recently had a spat with controversial musician, Portable, over his transgender claim.
Portable later did a diss track, insisting that Bobrisky is his “brotherhood”, warning him not to enter the ghetto and claim sisterhood, otherwise he would collect firewood (beating).
