Iran on Saturday night fired dozens of drones towards Israel in what analysts said could snowball into World War 3.
The Israeli Defence Force, IDF issued statement on their official X.com account.
“The IDF is on high alert and is constantly monitoring the operational situation.
The IDF Aerial Defense Array is on high alert, along with IAF fighter jets and Israeli Navy vessels that are on a defense mission in Israeli air and naval space. The IDF is monitoring all targets.
Israel will close its airspace starting at 12:30 a.m. local time, Israel’s transportation ministry said.
“In accordance with the instructions of the security system, starting at 00:30 tonight, the airspace of the State of Israel will be closed to international and domestic flights,” it said.
“Due to the delay in the arrival of flights to Israel, the flight schedule from Tel Aviv is expected to change. Ramon Airport will be closed to traffic.
The traveling public is requested to check with the airlines and on the airport authority website about the new flight times before arriving at the airport,” it continued.
“We will continue to update according to developments,” according to the statement.
