Tragedy struck in Imo State as a bus belonging to the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Renewal Movement collided with a heavy-duty truck, resulting in a devastating accident that claimed multiple lives.
Reports indicate that the collision occurred in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, leaving at least twenty individuals feared dead.
Eyewitnesses recounted the harrowing scene, detailing how the bus and the tipper truck, both traveling in the same direction, collided before crashing into a Coca-Cola shop in Orogwe, Owerri West Local Government Area.
Five people reportedly lost their lives instantly and were rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance, while others remained trapped beneath the wreckage. Tragically, among the deceased were three workers from the Coca-Cola depot.
Additionally, the driver and conductor of the tipper truck were counted among the casualties. While some members of the Lord’s Chosen sustained injuries, fortunately, none were reported dead.
