The Federal Government has urged the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to carry out a comprehensive audit of all local airlines in the country.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this on CHANNELS TELEVISION’s Politics Today programme on Thursday, April 25.
According to Keyamo, beyond the suspension of Dana Airlines and the ongoing audit of the airline, all other airlines in the country will be audited to guarantee the safety of passengers and the sustainability of the civil aviation sector.
This followed the incident on Tuesday, April 23, were Dana Air aircraft, with 83 passengers and registration number 5N BKI flying from Abuja to Lagos, suffered a runway excursion at the Lagos Murtala Mohammed airport.
