The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party are currently holding a closed-door peace meeting with Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa of Ondo State and 15 other aspirants of the party.
The meeting is said to be over the outcome of the April 20 primary election of the party ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
Three of the sixteen aspirants in the APC’s governorship primary election had petitioned the party over the outcome of the poll, demanding a cancellation of the exercise.
The aggrieved aspirants alleged that the committee which was headed by the Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, was biased in the assignment.
The incumbent Governor Ayiedatiwa was declared the winner of the primary in the early hours of Sunday, April 21.
The Nation reports that at the peace meeting, all the aspirants except Wale Akinterinwa and Isaac Kekemeke were in attendance.
In attendance at the meeting include Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Olusoji Adewale Ehinlanwo, a former member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Olugbenga Omogbemi Edema, and business magnate, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim Folorunsho.
Others are Engr. (Mrs.) Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, Hon. Akinfolarin Mayo Samuel, legal luminary, Chief Olusola Alexander Oke, SAN, Ohunyeye Olamide Felix, and Barr. Morayo Lebi.
Also in attendance are Garvey Oladiran Iyanjan, Prof. Francis Adebayo Faduyile, and Engr. (Mrs) Judith Folakemi Omogoroye, President Unilag Alumni (Worldwide), Engr. Ifeoluwa Olusola Oyedele and Hon. Omo’Oba Okunjimi Odimayo John.
