Capital City University, Kano Appoints First Female Registrar

The Governing Council and the Board of Trustees of Capital City University, Kano, one of the leading private universities in Northern Nigeria, have approved the appointment of Hajiya Rakiya Bello DANDAGO as the Registrar of the university for a tenure of four years, effective from the 2nd of May, 2024.
In a statement by the Acting Pro Chancellor of the Institution, Prof. Tajudeen Akanji, the university is so delighted to secure the services of a leading woman administrator to boost it’s growth and development.
Hajiya Dandago was until her appointment, a Deputy Registrar at the Aliko Dangote University, Wudi, Kano state.
The new Registrar is a Development expert, with very impressive credentials.
The approval of this appointment was a demonstration of gender sensitivity of the new university which has a strong reputation and policy of non- discrimination on the basis of gender, religion or ethnicity.
Hajiya Dandago is very experienced administrator who had once served as the Acting Registrar of Aliko Dangote university.
She is expected to work in collaboration with the Vice Chancellor and other professional hands, who have been carefully selected to nurture the fast growing institution to the enviable level conceived by the founders and promoters of the university.

#OndoDecides2024: APC congratulates Aiyedatiwa, applauds Ondo electorate

The All Progressives Congress has congratulated the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election in the just-concluded governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa won the election, having polled a total of 366,781 votes across all 18 Local Government Areas of the state.
He defeated his closest rival — Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party, who got 117,845 votes.
In a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on Sunday, and made available to PUNCH Online, the party described Aiyedatiwa as a “clear attestation” that his administration’s policies “resonated deeply with the electorate.”
The statement read, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) heartily congratulates the Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on his re-election.
“Your Excellency’s resounding victory in the just-concluded Ondo State gubernatorial election is a clear attestation that your administration’s policies and programmes and campaign message of hope and consolidation have resonated deeply with the electorate.
