The Code of Conduct Bureau ( CCB), a foremost anti-graft agency backed by the Constitution of the country is embarking on a marathon investigation to unravel government officials and appointees who have served the country in the various capacities and breach the Code of Conduct laws of the federation, those who have failed to comply or those that supply false declarations intentionally to deceive the agency and those who are yet to declare their assets and other sundry matters.
A reliable source in the foremost anti-graft bureau disclosed that 3 former governors, 9 former ministers, 14 legislators, 17 former heads of parastatals at both federal and state levels including local government chairmen are under serious investigations for the alleged graft offences. He confided in our reporter that words have been sent to them to immediately report to the CCB headquarters or face the consequences so as to clarify their assets acquired, properties and humongous bank accounts in both local and offshore illegally acquired connected to them, family members and close associates.
