Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf has presented letter of appointment to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the 16th Emir of Kano.
The presentation followed the signing into law, the Kano Emirates bill that dissolved the five Emirates earlier created by the Ganduje administration.
The governor said decision become necessary because they are convinced he was unjustly removed by the previous administration.
He said the decision will correct the error made by the previous administration.
The mini-durbar ceremony took place at the Africa House of the Kano State Government House on Friday, May 24.
The presentation of the letter of appointment is coming after a Federal High Court sitting in Kano issued an injunction stopping the action.
The 14th Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sanusi II is back on the throne after four years hiatus following the signing of the Kano State Emirates Councils (Repeal) Bill 2024 by Governor Yusuf.
