Massive Crowd As Emir Sanusi Holds 1st Court Session In Palace
After receiving a letter of appointment as the 15th Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has conducted his first court session amidst fanfare.
The emir, dressed in a colourful traditional attire, rode a horse from the inner recess of the palace to the outer chamber as hundreds of supporters and palace guards accompanied him.
It was observed that many district heads that paid allegiance to him and top palace officials at Kofar kudu to commence his first official engagement.
The emir was received at the palace by senior officials and moved straight and sat on the throne.
As the tradition of the palace entails, all the district heads and traditional title holders line up and pay homage to the emir.
Hundreds of well wishers trooped to the palace to have a glimpse of the while palace drummers blare the place with different drum bitting as palace hunters fired several royal shots.
