Initial reports indicate that the attack occurred around 3:00 PM at a military checkpoint near the Federal Government College (FGC) in Ohafia.
The gunmen launched a surprise assault on the checkpoint, but the stationed soldiers responded swiftly and decisively.
A fierce gun battle ensued, during which multiple attackers were reportedly killed, showcasing the preparedness and resilience of the Nigerian military forces.
One suspect was apprehended, and a cache of weapons was recovered from the scene. The arrested individual is currently in custody and is expected to provide valuable information for future security operations.
