Nigerians have been called to troop out en mass to join the nationwide anti-hardship protest against the regime of President Bola Tinubu as civil movements and political groups unveiled the takeoff points and times across the country.
According to schedules, the June12Protest tagged, #WeAreHungry, will begin in Lagos State at the Ikeja, Underbridge and time is 7AM.
“For Osun State the takeoff point is Freedom Park, Osogbo and time is 8 a.m. For Oyo State, location Ibadan by Mokola Roundabout, Underbridge and time is 8am. For Ondo State, location is Post office, Akure and time: 8 am.
Edo State: Museum ground, Ring Road, Benin City. Time: 8 AM. Rivers State: Pleasure Park, Port-Harcourt Time: 8;30 AM. Delta 1: Effurun, Roundabout, Warri. Time: 8 AM. Delta 2: Ughelli, Otovwodo junction. Time: 8 AM.
“Kano: Zoo Road opposite Zoo Garden, Kano City, Time: 9 am. Federal Capital City Abuja; Unity Fountain, Abuja and Time: 8 am

A number of Nigerian civil societies had scheduled Wednesday June 12 for a mass protest against hardship and acute hunger under the President Bola Tinubu-led government in Nigeria.
The groups are; the Take-It-Back Movement (TIB), the African Action Congress party (AAC), the Joint Action Front (JAF), the Education Rights Campaign (ERC), the Socialist Workers and the Youth League (SWL) and PRP Vanguard.
It was reported on Tuesday that the organisations made this known in a statement they jointly issued and captioned, “Enough is Enough to Hardship and Hunger Great Nigerian People.”
According to the organisations, since May 29, 2023, when President Tinubu removed fuel subsidy, Nigerians have been plunged into greater hardship and hunger as prices of fuel, food, transport, electricity, school fees and other basic amenities have skyrocketed beyond what average Nigerians can afford.
