Middle aged man kills self over inability to marry girl friend

A middle aged man, Hassan Bayaro has allegedly commit suicide in Nasarawa state over alleged multiple debts coupled with his inability to marry a girl friend.
Hassan Bayaro, 35-years old who hails from Giza town in Keana local government area of Nasarawa State, is said to have committed suicide as a result of his alleged indebtedness to several people to amounting to over 8 million naira.
The incident our Correspondent gathered occurred last week Saturday, in Angwan Nungu, a settlement in Lafia, the state capital, leaving his relations, friend, admirers and other people within the neighborhood with shock and dismay.
Bayaro, a graduate of Mass Communication from Nasarawa State University, Keffi and a teacher with St. James Secondary School, Lafia it was learnt has been panting over his failure to have his girlfriend ( name withheld) as his legitimate wife all this while.
The victim our Correspondent gathered Authoritatively was last seen in Lafia, last week Thursday, the day believed to be last day on earth.
Investigation conducted revealed also that Bayaro was into property business of buying houses and empty lands and resale to prospective buyers over the years.
Investigation further revealed that his decision to take his life was not unconnected with his relationship with a lady from Doma, he so much wish to have as a wife but his desire was however hindered because they were not of the same faith..
The decomposing corpse of the victim was discovered in his apartment in Angwan Nungu, opposite Nasarawa Clinic, last week Saturday, 22nd June, when some bad odour was oozing out.
Some friends of the deceased who pleaded anonymity, disclosed that he had earlier sent SMS to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), where a complain was lodged against him over the debts, that he will commit suicide.
Public Relations Officer of NSCDC, Nasarawa State command, DSC Victor Jerry,
confirmed the complain lodged by the deceased concerning both the multiple debt cases and his plain to commit suicide.
According to the PRO, ” Immediately we got the text, our men swung into action and met him in school. He also sent threat text message to his family, that if he was not allowed to marry his girlfriend he will commit suicide, but his family were against their marriage because they are of different faith” he said.
The decomposed body of the victim has since been buried, according to Islamic rites.

Less than twenty-four hours to the start of voting in Saturday’s governorship poll in Edo State, a rash of fake news has broken out.
Leading parties in the election have had their fair shares of fake news either indicating the withdrawal of their candidates or disqualification by a Magistrate Court or Supreme Court.
For instance, Olumide Akpata of LP was said to have withdrawn from the race and thrown his support for Asue Ighodalo in a statement that read smoothly and appeared convincing.
THE CONCLAVE sent the statement to Akpata via WhatsApp for confirmed.
He responded by sending the same statement with FAKE NEWS boldly stamped on it.
He said he was set for victory at the poll.
There was also a news flash about the Supreme Court disqualifying Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party, with a sign off: More details coming….
A Magistrate Court in Abuja was also reported to have disqualified Monday Okpebholo of the APC from the poll on account of age falsification.
The APC campaign organisation had swiftly put a lie to the report by deploying the court papers in the circumstance.
