NETHERLANDS – Immediately past Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte has bowed out of office after serving the nation meritoriously for 14 years.
He is leaving office with his bicycle, no entourage as he drives home away from office.
He is here pictured waving and saying goodbye to his former aides, setting a good example of public service that African leaders, most expecially Nigerian leaders need to emulate.
Mark Rutte is due to be named Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, NATO later this year.
Already a successor in the person Dick Schoof, a former spy chief of Netherlands was sworn in on Tuesday.
Dick Schoof is 67 years old.
