Again, Concerned Rivers Citizens, CRC on Monday raised an alarm alleging Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara has released criminals from prison over fear of losing in a scheduled Local Government poll.

The Coordinator of CRC, Emmanuel Chibuzor made this revelation at a press briefing in PortHarcourt stating that:

“Fubara has released criminals to help him quell any form of opposition, using brute force in the forthcoming LG polls in our heavily troubled state.

“This development is cropping few hours after the state electoral body announced a guideline for local government elections.

“He is scared of the fact that he’s not popular, he moved prisoners facing various jail terms in Rivers State to help him.

Chibuzor further disclosed that most of the released prisoners are men that at various times tormented Rivers people.

“If Fubara as number one citizen of our state is working against the police force what is the hope of the ordinary man, he wondered.
