The House of Representatives Public Account
Committee (PAC) has pledged continuous citizens’
engagements to achieve efficiency in public
resources management.
Chairman of the committee, Rep. Bamidele Salam
(PDP-Osun), made the pledge at the opening of the National Workshop on Current Trends in Public
Sector Accounting and Auditing, in Abuja on
Thursday.
The workshop was organised in collaboration with
African Development Studies Centre (ADSC).
The lawmaker emphasised the importance of
building public trust through improved financial
management systems, saying it would contribute to
the overall development and progress of the nation.
“The Public Account Committee has always been at
the forefront of promoting good governance,
transparency and accountability in the management
of public funds.
