The National Bureau of Statistics has released data on Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC) revenue sharing showing that states received the sum of N403.40 billion as allocation in May, 2024.
The Federal government got N390.41 billion while Local Governments got N293.8 billion.
In total the sum of N1.087 trillion was shared by these three tiers of government.
Review shows that Abia state received the sum of N9.695 billion, Adamawa got N8.584 billion, Akwa-Ibom N33.3 billion, Anambra N11.733 billion, Bauchi N7.7 billion, Bayelsa N29.6 billion, Benue N10.2 billion.
Other states such as Borno received N11.1 billion, Cross River N6.9 billion, Delta N47.9 billion, Ebonyi N7.8 billion, Edo N11.8 billion, Ekiti N7.4 billion, Enugu N8.9 billion, Gombe N7.3 billion, Imo N10.2 billion , Jigawa N10.5 billion, Kaduna N8.3 billion, Kano N14.8 billion and Katsina N10.5 billion.
Kebbi also got N9.2 billion, Kebbi N8 billion, Kwara N7.6 billion, Lagos N28.7 billion, Nasarawa N8.1 billion, Niger N9.2 billion, Ogun N6.7 billion, Ondo N11.6 billion, Osun N7.5 billion, Oyo N11.7 billion, Plateau N7.8 billion, Rivers N36 billion, Sokoto N9.1 billion, Taraba N9.2 billion, Yobe N8.1 billion and Zamfara N8.3 billion.
The government also disbursed the sum of N120 billion for its “Presidential Metering Initiative” aimed at bridging metering gaps in the country.
