22 students have been confirmed dead following the recovery of their bodies from the rubble after the tragic collapse of Saint Academy school building in Jos.
Their lifeless bodies were reportedly deposited in three mortuaries in Jos, while 132 persons are receiving treatment in various hospitals across the state.
The school building, Saint Academy situated in Busa Buji in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, collapsed on Friday morning, trapping numerous students and teachers inside.
The incident occurred around 11 am while the students were writing exams.

It was gathered that Our Lady of Apostles Hospital Mortuary has received five corpses, with 27 injured persons receiving treatment.
Bingham Teaching Hospital Morgue has received eight corpses, with 16 others receiving treatment, while Plateau Specialist Hospital has recorded two deaths and 34 injured students, including two with spinal cord injuries.
Jos University Teaching Hospital and other medical facilities within the state capital are also providing immediate medical attention to the injured.
The joint security task force, Operation Safe Haven, has mobilized five Hilux vehicles and 30 troops to support the rescue operation.
Excavators, volunteers, security personnel, and Red Cross members are still working tirelessly to rescue trapped students under the rubble.
The Plateau state government on its part has instructed hospitals to prioritize treatment without documentation or payment and has ordered all major hospitals in Jos to attend to the victims.
About 200 people were trapped, with many evacuated.
