Veteran Nollywood actor, Kayode Olaiya, popularly known as Aderupoko, has revealed the amusing story of how he was introduced to acting.
In a recent interview, Olaiya shared that he was lured into the profession with a bottle of Coca-Cola.
According to the actor, his journey in the entertainment industry began with Western Nigeria Television (WNTV) and Western Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation (WNBC), where he worked as a storyteller.
He was approached by a man who asked him to tell stories, and he continued to return due to the promise of drinks like Coca-Cola and Fanta, as well as money.
Olaiya eventually joined a theatre group called Edunkunle Travelling Theatre in Ibadan, where he began his journey in acting.
With a career spanning over five decades, he has appeared in numerous films and stage productions.
