BT Vandi, a retired colonel of the Nigerian Army, was found dead in a hotel within the Nigerian Defence Academy, NDA, base camp in Buruku, Plateau State.
The retired officer checked into the hotel and was found dead on the 16th of July, 2024. An attendant found his body about 3:20 pm.
This is according to a military signal obtained by SaharaReporters, where the remains of the deceased had been moved to the 3 Division Military Hospital in Jos for further investigation into what led to his death.
The signal read:
“At about 161520A 24, TPS of HQ 3 Div received info on Subj, on one Col BT Vandi (Rtd) was found dead in a hotel room at NDA base camp, Bukuru, Plateau State. TPS mob to the scene and move the corpse to 3DMSH for further action. Pic attached.”
The cause is yet to be unraveled, as security agents have taken up the task of effectively investigating his murder.
