North West Commission: Tinubu has shown he has foresight to develop Nigeria-Barau
Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Jibrin Barau, APC, Kano North has hailed President Bola Tinubu for signing the North West Development Commission, NWDC bill into law.
Addressing Journalists on Tuesday in Abuja, the Deputy President of the Senate who commended the President for the assent, said that with this act, Tinubu has shown that he has foresight and goodwill to develop this country.
Barau who urged Nigerians to continue praying for the President, said that he mean well for the country as he would develop the country, the way he did in Lagos.
The Deputy President of the Senate said, ” The President has signed the North West Development Commission Bill into law. It has come to light that the Commission is going to assist in the development of the North West.
” You are all aware of the development of that zone that is in the forefront of food production in this country but it has been ravaged of recent by activities of Boko Haram that has destroyed health, education and infrastructures. With this Commission, we can rebuild this region.
“Mr. President has showed that he loves the people of this region and whatever is done for North West, he has done for the entire country because we are all interconnected.
“He has shown that he has foresight and goodwill to develop this country.
I appeal to Nigerians to cooperate with him he has been showing to us what he did in Lagos. We appreciate what he has done.
“What he has done is a demonstration that he is a leader to be trusted, we have to be patient with him, we know that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Let us continue to pray for him. This is just his one year, let us support him and shirk away those who want to distract him.”

NYSC announces date for ‘2024 Batch C’ registration
The management of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, on Wednesday, announced the date for the online registration of prospective 2024 batch C stream I corps members.
The management said the exercise will commence on Thursday, 14 November, 2024.
This was made known in a post on the official X handle of the NYSC on Wednesday.
“Online Registration for 2024 Batch ‘C’ SC Stream I commences 14th November 2024,” the statement read.
The orientation course will commence later on a date to be announced by the NYSC management.

More Nigerians, Others Deported By Libya Govt
Few months after many Nigerian were deported, the Department for Combating Illegal Migration in Libya has deported seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis, and three Ghanaians detained at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre.
The deportees were flown out of Libya via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.
in a statement on their X handle on Tuesday, confirmed that these individuals were deported for violating Libyan law.
The statement read, “DCIM deported 13 migrants (3 Bangladeshis, 3 Ghanaians, and 7 Nigerians) from the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre via Benina International Airport in Benghazi. All individuals, ,,,were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state.”
At the time of filing this report, total number of deported Nigerians still sketchy.

Kalu Mba Nwoke was reportedly assaulted at the Ohafia Local government Secretariat on Saturday, 2nd of November 2024( date of the just concluded local government elections)
The lawmaker alledged that he was assaulted on the orders of the Deputy Gov Engr Ikechukwu Emetu because he demanded that election result sheets should be available before the elections.
