Protests: Yobe Board Directs Withdrawal Of Almajiri Pupils From Streets Back To School

The move was to ensure that the Almajiri Pupils do not participate in the nationwide protest.

The Yobe State Arabic and Islamic Education Board has directed the withdrawal of all Almajiri Pupils on the street back to their Tsangaya Schools.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Umar Abubakar disclosed this at the end of a meeting and Qura’nic recitation with the Leaders of the Association of Tsangaya School Teachers in Damaturu the state capital.

The move was to avoid any eventualities that may occur in the course of the nationwide protest, as well as ensure that the Almajiri Pupils do not participate.

The Chairman of the Tsangaya Association, Goni Modu-Aisami revealed the government has provided feeding to the Almajiri pupils for four days.

He urged all Tsangaya Teachers to comply with the directives.
