The President of Bangladesh, Mohammed Shahabuddin on Tuesday dissolved the parliament.
The dissolution is part of the demand from student protesters who led demonstrations that ousted long-time ruler Sheikh Hasina.
In a statement issued by Shiplu Zaman, press secretary of the President, “The president has dissolved parliament.”
