Security operatives have been spotted patrolling major roads in the Kaduna/Zaria Metropolis with armoured tanks to enforce curfew compliance in the state.
The security operatives were deployed by the Kaduna State government to enforce the 24-hour curfew declared amid the ongoing protest against hunger and hardship.
Some security operatives paraded retreat on foot while others followed in an armoured tank.
Videos making the rounds on social media show streets in Kaduna deserted after days of protests.
Recall that the Kaduna state government imposed a 24-hour curfew on Monday, August 5, as the “End Bad Governance in Nigeria” protests entered the fifth day.
Despite normalcy returning to some areas, protests are still ongoing in other places.
