How I had to change my diet to shrink fibroids – Ini-Dinma Okojie (Video)
Nollywood actress Ini-Dinma Okojie has opened up about a great lifestyle change she’s had to make due to her ongoing battle with fibroids.
After undergoing surgery three years ago to remove the fibroids, she revealed that they have unfortunately returned.
Now, she’s taking a holistic approach to manage her condition, which involves making drastic changes to her diet.
In a video shared on social media, Ini detailed the foods she has decided to eliminate in an effort to shrink the fibroids.
Among the items she has given up are rice, meat, bread, caffeine, pasta, noodles, and more.
She explained, “So I’m currently on a holistic journey to shrink fibroids. That means I have to go on what I call a fibroids diet and these are some of the things I’ve had to give up. Red meat, so lamb, cow, ram, goat, sausages, processed meat, any form of red meat. White carbs, so white pasta, noodles, rice, bread. Dairy, so cheese, whole milk. Refined sugar, so cookies, cake, condiments, processed food in general. Carbonated drinks, caffeine, high sodium foods like soy, things that are really high in salt.”
Okojie stated that these foods are high in estrogen, which can contribute to the growth of fibroids.
She added, “We are avoiding these things because they are high in estrogen and you don’t want that because those make the fibroids grow. All of these are useless if you’re not keeping your stress levels down, but I live in Lagos, God help me.”

Controversial Nigerian singer Portable is currently the talk of the internet following his reconciliation with his girlfriend, Queen Dami.
Recall that the former Oyo Queen had reconciled with Portable, months after their social media spat, which left many dragging her.
Defending his woman, Portable slammed trolls for trying to destroy his home.
According to reports online, the mother of one has been reportedly rushed to the hospital after fainting. A clip making rounds online showed the beauty entrepreneur lying on the lap of her friend as she was been driven to the hospital.
Reacting to the video, Portable revealed that Dami fainted after he queried her over her body count. He stated that he asked her if she had slept with anyone else during their fallout and she fainted.
“I asked her if anyone slept with her when we broke up, and she fainted. Why will she faint? No be you say you wan love me back? Before you say you no love me, now love don come. So love dey go dey come? Love come na scam, love no come na scam. I just asked her if they tear her or no tear her. And she fainted”.
The lovebirds have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
