In a series of operations, troops of 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation WHIRL STROKE, in collaboration with other security agencies, have arrested several criminals, kidnappers, terrorists, and suspected bandits in Taraba State.
The operations, which took place between August 18 and 21, 2024, resulted in the arrest of:
David Musa, a suspected kidnapper, in Takum LGA
– James Nuhu and Dan-Asabe Ango, suspected gunrunners, in Wukari LGA
– Ibrahim Philemon, an armourer, in Wukari LGA
– 7 suspects involved in kidnapping, cattle rustling, and attacks on innocent individuals in Wukari Metropolis
– Isyaka Yusuf, a terrorist kingpin and arms trafficker, in Bantaki Market
– Muhammad Usman and Abdulqadir Sule, with 13 mobile phones, 3 motorcycles, and N347,150
– Fidelis Nyitar and Isaiah Ioraa, members of the Konyo-led Tiv Militias
– Mela Selim, a Tiv Militia kingpin, suspected of masterminding the killing of the Chief of Chanchangi
Troops also recovered weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles during the operations.
