‘How I Shot My Friend For Having S3x With My Girlfriend In Her House’

A 38-year-old hunter, Joseph Ajegba, has said that he shot his bossom friend, when he caught him having sex with his girlfriend in the house he rented for her in lkun- Akoko, in Akoko South West council area of Ondo state.

Joseph was paraded alongside other suspected criminals, at the state police headquarters, Akure, the state capital.

He said that he had dropped a bush meat for his girlfriend earlier in the day and went out in the night for another round of game but was surprised when he got to the house to see another man having sexual relations

According to him” I went out hunting after I have taken some bottles of beer, but I ran out of cartridges. I wanted to return to the house of my girlfriend to sleep there.

“When I got there, I saw the door locked. I now went to the window and I opened it and saw a co-hunter sleeping with my girlfriend. That was why I shot the gun in my hand.”

Parading the suspect, the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Abayomi Oladipo,said, “On the 23rd of August, 2024 at about 2300hrs, a case of attempted murder was reported to the Police, the victim went to his friend who is a divorcee in her house.

“One, Ajegba Joseph ‘m’, a hunter aged 38 years who is also having an affair with the woman, went to visit her on the same day in possession of an unlicensed single-barrel gun.

“However, upon sighting the victim with the woman in bed, the suspect shot the victim through the window side.”

The police commissioner while parading other suspects, said a syndicate who specialized in snatching cars was arrested by the command.

Oladipo added that the suspects were members of a four-man gang who specialized in inter-state car theft and snatching.

According to him “On July 11, 2024, a petition was received at the Command detailing a daring armed robbery. A Toyota Corolla, a Tecno POP 5 phone, and N1.5 million in cash were stolen at gunpoint. Our Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit, using advanced intelligence, traced the perpetrators of the crime to Ogun State, where some suspects were arrested.

“Among these suspects was Akinsanya Sarafa Adeniyi, a notorious receiver of stolen vehicles, known in certain circles as “Oba Idan.”

” Also arrested were a female accomplice who produced fake vehicular documents and others who aided the principal suspect in evading arrest.

” Despite our success, the mastermind remains at large, and our search for him continues.

“In another act of violence, on August 11, 2024, a commercial motorcyclist was attacked while simply trying to earn his daily bread.

” Contracted to carry a passenger to Oke-Agbe, Adeferati Road in Akungba Akoko, the motorcyclist was ambushed by the passenger and two others who emerged from the bushes.

“Shot in the thigh, he was left for dead as they fled with his motorcycle.

” Fortunately, the victim survived and was able to identify one of his attackers, leading to the arrest of Saheed Musa, a member of the Neo Black Movement (Aiye Confraternity).”

“Also, on August 11, 2024, a case of theft was reported at Ala Area Command. The victim left his Techno POP 08 phone charging in his car overnight, along with a cash sum of N400,000. By morning, both the phone and the money were gone.

“Our investigation quickly led us to Oni Samuel, a 40-year-old man with a history of stealing car stereos and phones.

“Upon searching his residence, we uncovered not just the stolen items but also a Beretta pistol, live ammunition, handcuffs, pepper spray, laptops, and various other electronic devices. Samuel’s illegal activities extended beyond mere theft, as he is now facing multiple charges.”

Oladipo reassured the residents of the coastal state that he would do all within his power to prevent crime and criminality in all of its forms and ensure the safety of all and sundry.
