Nigeria’s chances of advancing to the African Cup of Nations tournament in Morroco came back to life on Saturday evening at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State with a 3-0 defeat of Benin Republic.
The two goals came on either side by Ademola Lookman and one goal by Victor Oshimen sealed the victory of Nigeria in the game.
Nigeria completely dominated the game in the second half after an impressive outing in the second half.
After embarrassing defeats and lack-luster draws, the victory is a sign of optimism that Nigeria may well qualify for the tournament if the winning streaks continue.
